You can increase your PageRank for your website or blog by submit your link to different Web directories, and it’s a good way to getting backlinks to build a higher PageRank.
Is there a need of having a high PageRank?
For small or new started sites it’s one way to climb your way of in hierarchy of the millions of websites in the world. One way to getting noticed here and there on the Internet is to have a high PageRank.
For an example, web directories sometimes sort and rank by PageRank, if your site has a high PageRank, then your site get higher in the listings.
As a Webmaster, I think in a way it’s a little bit of competition, trying to increase your PageRank to your own site/sites against you competitor’s sites.
